David Franklyn Barbour played a Ghoul in Night of the Living Dead
He can be seen throughout the film in several shots of the ghouls wandering around outside, near the truck and during the feeding scenes.
He also had a brief role in "The Crazies" playing Frank Winston and is almost completely unrecognizable. Originally the role of Frank was supposed to be given to Ross Harris.
From his obituary:
"David F. Barbour, the advertising specialist who helped design some of former Mayor Pete Flaherty's successful advertising campaigns, died yesterday while vacationing on the island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
Mr. Barbour, 54, made the former mayor's name into a household word in PIttsburgh when he came up with the idea of billboards and other advertising consisting of only the word "Pete" during Flaherty's race for the mayor's office in 1969.
Mr. Barbour also designed advertising campaigns for then Republican County Commissioner Dr. William Hunt in the early 1970s.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Barbour graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and shortly thereafter, in 1950, joined the advertising firm of Batten, Barton, Burstine and Osborn Inc. He remained with the firm and rose to creative director until 1973, when the firm closed its Pittsburgh office.
Mr. Barbour then opened his own public relations and advertising firm, David Barbour Associates, and maintained an office in his home.
In addition to political work, he had worked with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, amongst others.
He was an avid advocate of fitness, participating in mountain climbing, bicycle riding, skiing and sailing. He died of a heart attack."
